Virtual Listening Session
Let your voice be heard! Join the virtual listening event on April 8th.
Tuesday, April 6, 2021
Truman VA Hospital, along with other VA Heartland Network (VISN-15) facilities, will hold a virtual listening session from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021. The purpose of the session is to gather information and solicit suggestions from Veterans concerning their care. VA will then use this information to design a health system of the future that meets the needs of today’s Veterans, as well as those for generations to come.
The April 8 listening session will be one of 50 public virtual events across the country that will be held from March through June 2021. Participants can join the session by visiting HERE or they can use the Dial-in phone number: 404-397-1596, Access Code: 199 252 8618.
“We want to hear from Veterans and other stakeholders from the communities we serve to better understand what their experiences have been and what they envision the future of VA health care should be,” said Patricia Hall, PhD, FACHE, Truman VA Medical Center Director. “We always achieve the best results when we collaborate closely with our Veterans, their caregivers, and their loved ones.”
The listening session represents an important opportunity for Veterans to help VA reimagine the delivery of Veteran-centric health care. The feedback will be used to develop recommendations that will be submitted to the Asset and Infrastructure Review (AIR) Commission in January 2022. The AIR Commission also will conduct public hearings before submitting its recommendations to the President and Congress for review and approval in 2023.
