Many Veterans are finding mindfulness and meditation trans-formative to their lives. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present and aware of where we are and what we’re doing while not being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Meditation is like exploring that special place where each and every moment is momentous. Mindfulness and Meditation are calming strategies that can help you deal with stress and anxiety by giving you the needed focus on relaxation that we need to be healthy. Truman VA offers many services to support you in exploring these concepts.
