My HealtheVet

My HealtheVet is a free, online personal health record. It is available 24/7, where ever there is Internet access. If you are a VA patient, registered on My HealtheVet and have completed the one-time In-Person Authentication process, you can:

  • get your VA Wellness Reminders My HealtheVet computer. 
  • view your VA Appointments
  • participate in Secure Messaging with your health care team
  • fully participate in future My HealtheVet features

Getting Started

Secure Messaging

Secure Messaging through My HealtheVet is a web-based message system that allows participating VA patients and VA health care teams to communicate non-urgent, health related information in a private and safe computer environment.

Upgraded My HealtheVet users may opt-in to use Secure Messaging.  When a patient sends a message, their Primary Care team is set as the default.  Patients may select the drop down arrow to send a message to someone associated outside of Primary Care.  The following health care teams are using Secure Messaging with patients who have upgraded accounts:

Allergy, Anesthesiology, Audiology, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Chaplains, CT Surgery, Diabetic Clinic, Endocrine, ENT, Eye Clinic, General Surgery, GI, Health Eligibility, Hematology/Oncology, Hepatology, Infectious Disease, MOVE Program, My HealtheVet Coordinator, Nephrology, Neurology, Nutrition, OEF/OIF/OND Program, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain, Patient Safety, Plastic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Primary Care, Pulmonary, Recreation Therapy, Rheumatology, Sleep, Speech Pathology, Tobacco Cessation Program, Transplant Support, Urology, Vascular, Visual Impairment Services
