Kick Start the New Year: Call for Participants

Golden Age Game participants gathered for registration.

Hundreds of Veterans gather each year to compete in the National Veterans Golden Age Games.

What is your resolution?  Consider setting a goal to participate in the National Veterans Golden Age Games.  You have six months to prepare for your event!

The 27th National Veterans Golden Age Games will take place this year in Buffalo, New York, May 30 – June 4, 2013.  Veterans, 55 years of age and older who receive health care at any VA medical facility, are eligible to participate.  Some of the events include:

  • Table Tennis
  • Nine-Ball
  • Shuffleboard
  • Swimming
  • Bowling
  • Discus
  • Horseshoes
  • Shot Put
  • Javelin

Veterans should contact Recreation Therapy at Truman VA by February 1 if they want to participate or learn more.
