Go Further With Food Month
Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? This year’s theme, “Go Further with Food,” encourages people to develop healthy eating and exercise habits. Registered Dietitian Day is also celebrated in March to increase awareness of the registered dietitian’s commitment to helping people enjoy healthy lives through food and nutrition.
Are you a person who wants to “Go Further with Food,” but are unsure how to put advice into practice and make healthier options at home? If so, then you are just the person to join us for fun new cooking classes at Truman VA starting in March. Lindsey Koelling, registered dietitian, will be offering Healthy Teaching Kitchen classes the 1st Wednesday and 4th Monday of each month from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the Patient Education Center. Each month will feature new themes with new cost-effective, easy recipes that are hands-on.
