Deconstructing Ferguson: A Panel Discussion

Deconstructing Ferguson Panel

Panel Discussion on Ferguson

By Missouri Health Sciences Psychology Training Consortium Multicultural/Diversity Group
Friday, December 5, 2014

The fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer has thrust the city of Ferguson, MO, into the national spotlight as a flashpoint of racial, socioeconomic, and cultural conflict. This workshop will examine the various roles that psychologists have played at all levels, from boots-on-the-ground clinical work to responses from regional and national organizations. The goal of this discussion is to promote understanding of cultural issues relevant to clinical psychology practice in a complex and dynamic multicultural context.

Join the Truman VA on Friday, December 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Hospital Auditorium.
