Truman VA is the recipient of the 2012 Robert W. Carey Performance Excellence Award!! Congratulations to all of our staff and the hard work exhibited in the application process, site visit and follow up activity.

The VA Secretary’s Carey Performance Excellence Awards were established to recognize organizations with exemplary approaches to systems management that achieve excellent results for America’s Veterans. The foundation for the awards is the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. The highest level Carey award is the most prestigious award for organizational performance excellence in the Department of Veterans Affairs. While performance scores are a key driver in the selection of applicants recommended for recognition, the Secretary considers several other factors when making final award selections and determines award recipients based on recommendations and other factors.
